Oklahoma has lost 5 straight competitions. In several competitions a short while ago, the Sooners have endured in the second half. This included a 69-58 loss in their latest game this last Tuesday to Texas where the Longhorns had a 24-9 run in the 1st portion of the second half. Bulldogs vs Kentucky Wildcats in College Basketball Sports Betting
Jan 26th, 2012 by writer

Number 1 ranked Kentucky against the NCAA competition hopefuls Georgia? Looks like a recipe for a blowout, especially as Kentucky barely regained that desired No. 1 spot on the rankings for the first time in the earlier 2 months. Whilst the Kentucky Wildcats are on top of the rankings and relishing an 11 game win streak, the Georgia Bulldogs can best be described as sporadic thus far in the season.

Super Bowl odds

Kentucky is 19-1 and 5-0 in the SEC. They are coming off of a especially unsightly game at home against Alabama, where they won their last 15 points at the foul line. Thankfully, the team is pretty great from the free-throw line, where they landed 23-of-29 to keep hold of the win, 77-71. That victory, along with Syracuse dropping their first game of the year, put Kentucky back on top. Their present 11 game win streak is additionally their greatest since going 19-0 in the course of the 2009-2010 year.

College football betting

Georgia will have its hands full struggling with the Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday, January 24. The Georgia Bulldogs won an invite to the NCAA competition for the first time in the last three years in 2011, but 2 of their primary competitors moved on to the NBA. Since losing them, Georgia has lost a lot of their offensive touch, scoring only 61.9 ppg with a lousy 39.9 percent field-goal percentage. The Georgia Bulldogs are presently 10-9 overall and 1-4 in the SEC.

With the Kentucky Wildcats averaging 79.5 ppg, and the Georgia Bulldogs at 61.9, it’s no surprise the sports book is favoring Kentucky by 12 points. It may be a good deal taking the Cats, as the game could wind up pretty effortlessly as a 15- or 20-point blowout. The total is established at 129, but and I would anticipate this game to go under the total. If Kentucky plays even slightly bit of defense, the Bulldogs’ offense may very well be effectively shut down all night.

Connecticut Huskies vs West Virginia Mountaineers in College Basketball Betting
Jan 9th, 2012 by writer

These two squads have been doing relatively well this season. This should not be an unexpected to any person as both of these colleges are well known for their share of victories in basketball for many years. Both these squads will be at it on the hardwood on January 9, when Western Virginia visits Connecticut.

College football odds

The Mountaineers is arriving off an impressive 21 point win versus Rutgers Knights, in which the senior Darryl Bryant took the Scarlet Knights to school by dropping 29 points on them, as well as Kevin Jones who had a good game with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Connecticut alternatively lost their prior game versus the Seton Hall Pirates by 12 points. Jeremy Lamb was still impressive nevertheless with 19 points.

Football betting

West Virginia is only a better squad than Connecticut offensively when you compare these two squads. Defensively, Connecticut is the better squad, but you have Kevin Jones who averages a double-double for the season and Darryl Bryant who’s only a monster offensively, which will help West Virginia get the edge over Connecticut. Kevin Jones will jump over folks to get that rebound as he is one of the better rebounders in the league this year. The Connecticut Huskies do not have any person that can box this kid out. I would not say that this match up in the clash of the titans or anything of that sort, but it ought to be a fascinating game to watch.

Due to the fact the Connecticut Huskies do not have any person on the squad that can guard both Kevin Jones and Darryl Bryant, if I were wagering on this match, I would bet for the Mountaineers winning versus the Huskies. Both of them can make you pay if you leave them undefended. One of those will definitely have a big game on Monday January 9.

Saturday’s Final Four in March Madness wagering has a headline contest between Connecticut and Kentucky and a contest of longshots as VCU takes on Butler. Let’s look at both competitions and the March Madness odds at the sports book.

VCU against Butler – 6:10 pm Eastern – CBS
The Bulldogs are 2.5 point favorites with the total showed at 133.5. Virginia Commonwealth is the Cinderella story as they were not even likely to make the NCAA Tournament. They had to play in the “First Four” game and effortlessly handled USC. The Rams then took out Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State and #1 Kansas to attain the Final Four. Butler has been the cardiac kids of the competition with last second wins over Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and Florida. The Bulldogs are the most experienced squad of the remaining four squads.

Connecticut against Kentucky – 8:50 pm Eastern – CBS
This is the headline contest of the two Final Four competitions and the Wildcats are 2-point favorites in March Madness odds with the total being 140. Connecticut is the third seed whereas Kentucky is a four seed. This contest nearly never takes place in the Final Four. In reality, it has merely occurred once in history since the competition expanded and that was in 1990. The 3 seed that year was Duke and they beat Arkansas. This contest on Saturday highlights the young expertise of Kentucky versus Kemba Walker and the Huskies. Kentucky has had the tougher road to the Final Four as they had to get by Princeton, West Virginia, leading seed Ohio State and then second seed North Carolina. Connecticut has had a simpler road with wins over Bucknell, Cincinnati, San Diego State and Arizona. Kentucky head coach John Calipari is top his third squad to the Final Four as he took Massachusetts back in 1996 and Memphis in 2008.

Improbable Final Four
Nearly no one in March Madness wagering forecasted that these four squads would make the Final Four. ESPN had nearly 6 million folks enter their competition match and merely two got the Final Four correct. Neither has an ideal bracket but that is next to extremely hard. You would’ve thought that picking this Final Four would’ve been next to extremely hard but with 6 million brackets and merely two folks that did it those are prospects of 3 million to 1. This is the 1st Final Four in competition history where there’s not at least one #1 or #2 seed. It’s also the greatest combined seed total in tournament history.

Let us Examine Wildcat Offense

Based on Synergy Sports Technologies, a company that analyzes teams for numerous sources, the most efficient offensive unit leftover in the NCAA Tournament are the Kentucky Wildcats. Any lover who has been following the championship can tell you that the Wildcat offense is headed by 2 extraordinary competitors, Brandon Knight and Terrence Jones. Jones and Knight are 2 of the greatest in ncaa basketball and both will definitely make it to the next level.

Jones and Knight take the most shots on the Kentucky team plus they are the 2 top scorers in terms of points per competition.

However, these 2 are far from the merely 2 choices that coach Calipari has on the offensive end; In reality, the opposite is true. It may very well be said that the three other major contributors are much more worthwhile than Knight and Jones. Doron Lamb, Darius Miller, and Josh Harrellson play major roles in this teams leading offensive efficiency rating. While they could not be as productive in terms of points per competition as the other 2, these three are much more efficient scorers, and they can be depended on to hit huge shots when the other 2 are being keyed on or double teamed.

This reality makes the Wildcats so difficult to defend considering Jones and Knight are much to great to be handled one-on-one by most defenders in ncaa basketball, thus making a really effective match zone one of the merely ways to effectively handle them. Connecticut is a man-to-man team, and that is why this fight will likely be so intriguing. It will likely be intriguing to see the adjustments Calhoun makes to remove the things that hew thinks are essential.

For the Cats, the answer now is not something distinct but in the same vein. This is without a doubt not the time to be changing things up offensively, or attempting to allow one competitor more of a part than another. The Cats are greatest when they react to the competition at hand and employ a team concept. When they do this, they are impossible to stop.

Before we get to the Final Four in March Madness betting there is one more competition to play and that is the finale of the CBI Championship on Friday night. This competition had a best-of-three format and predictably, Creighton and Oregon each won handily at home. Oregon gets the advantage of having the third competition on their home court and they’re favored in March Madness lines.

Oregon -4.5, total 140
The CBI hasn’t gotten much attention but at least on Friday night there could be a couple of folks who give it a look. The tournament series has had some intrigue as Oregon head coach Dana Altman has been going up his former squad in Creighton. The first competition at Creighton did not go well for Altman and the Ducks as they were defeated 84-76. Oregon came back at home on Wednesday though and won 71-58 to force Friday’s finale. Altman deserves some credit for Wednesday’s win as Oregon turned to a man-to-man defense and it was the difference. Joevan Catron headed the Ducks with 18 points while Malcolm Armstead took 14. Altman had 327 victories with Creighton and headed them to the NCAA Championship a total of 7 times in 16 years. He left last April for Oregon as they offered him more cash. He was replaced by Greg McDermott who had coached at Iowa State. This series to date has been all about the home court advantage and that could be the case again on Friday night despite the fact that this game could be closer. It should furthermore be observed that in Wednesday’s competition, Doug McDermott who is the squad’s major scorer got into early foul trouble and was never a thing.

This is the 4th year for the CBI Championship and it can be a great stepping stone as last season’s victor VCU is in this season’s NCAA Final Four.

Match Notes
The Blue jays are 4-1 ATS in their previous five non-conference contests. The Blue jays are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 contests as a road longshot. The
